God’s Love We Deliver, the nonprofit behind New York City’s nutritious, medically tailored meals for people from Harlem to Hollis who are too sick to shop or cook for themselves, was proud to deliver their 30 Millionth Meal on Wednesday, April 20, 2022.
On Tuesday, August 27th, Macy’s and Bloomingdale’s colleagues presented a check for over $87,000 and volunteer at God’s Love We Deliver (GLWD) in NY, New York.
By Lil Nickelson Since 1985 God’s Love We Deliver have prepared and delivered food to people who are too sick to shop or cook for themselves free of charge without regard to the person’s income throughout the five boroughs of New York City, Westchester and Nassau Counties and Hudson County, NJ.
Over 25% of God’s Love’s clients are Bronx residents. And while most are seniors who are too sick to cook or shop for themselves, hundreds of these seniors are U.S. veterans—many struggling with issues of housing and homelessness, substance abuse, and trauma.
