July 13, 2022

By Kass

Right on time for this season’s swimwear fashions are full throttle and swimwear designers are serving fashion, flair, and sexy!

The SU’22 swimwear trends combine vintage styling and modern design with influences from the ’20s, 60s, ’70s, and ’90s.

Trends include sexy bikinis, comfort, style infusion (swimwear + RTW), sexy cuts, belted designs, glitz and glamour, and chic fashion.

Black Swimwear Designer Spotlight

The SP/SU’22 swimwear season featured an increased number of black designers bringing a breath of fresh design and color to the swimwear and accessories design.

The beauty in black swim design can be captured in the versatility, fit, edginess, and interchangeable fashion play.

Such versatility eloquently accommodates the varied curvy body type(s).

Focal trends include swimwear + RTW, sexy cutouts, and glitz & glamour with a lingerie twist.

Designers Andrea Iyamah, Bfyne (Buki Ade), LaQuan Smith, Matte Collection (Justina McKee), and Riot Swim (Monti Landers) offer transposable swim collections, easily convertible to casual and/or resort wear.

Check out our featured designers who give us life with their alluring and empowering swimwear and accessory designs:
