The Latest Events in Honkai Star Rail Ver 2.1

With the game’s first anniversary coming up in the second half of the version 2.1 update, there’s a lot for both fans and devs to celebrate! The current running events are just the beginning, and we can expect even more rewards later in the month!

For now, though, these are the latest events in Honkai: Star Rail Ver. 2.1-

Festive Gifts

The first event is the Festive Gifts event which will provide players with 20 Star Rail Special Passes that they can use on Limited Event Character Warp and Light Cone Warps.

All you have to do is log in to the game for 7 days while the event is active and you can get a total of 20 free pulls for the latest Star Rail characters or Light Cones.

The event is valid from the start of Ver. 2.1 release until 06/05/2024.

Cosmodyssey

The next event is the new community mini-game event which rewards players with Stellar Jades, credits, and more. Cosmodyssey can be accessed aboard the Astral Express and is a board game where players will collect ‘Trailblaze Funds’.

Collect enough and you’ll unlock individual and community rewards from materials, credits, Stellar Jades, and a new event-exclusive Phone Wallpaper

Cosmodyssey is available from the release of Ver. 2.1 until 06/05/2024.

Vignettes in a Cup

The most interactive event for the first half of Ver. 2.1 is the Vignettes in a Cup event which has you take over as bartender at the Dreamjolt Hostelry. You’ll be serving drinks to your customers’ preferences and do good enough and you can strike up a conversation with your ‘wacky’ patrons.

Completing milestones in the Vignettes in a Cup event will reward a Self-Modeling Resin, Stellar Jades, materials, a new speech bubble, credits, and a free 4-star Honkai Star Rail character of your choice.

After serving 13 patrons in the event, players can choose to obtain one copy of these 4-star HSR characters –

  • Misha
  • Guinaifen
  • Lynx
  • Luka
  • Hanya
  • Yukong
  • Xueyi
  • Gallagher

The Vignettes in a Cup event is live from 29/03/2024 until 06/05/2024.

Who Should You Pull for in Honkai: Star Rail Ver. 2.1?

First Half of Honkai Star Rail Ver 2.1 – Acheron

The most notable release of Ver. 2.1 has to Acheron, the ‘Emanator’, the enigmatic Galaxy Ranger, and resident bada** swordswoman.HSR Acheron is a Lighting Nihlity character but contrary to other Nihility characters, Acheron is a DPS-focused unit that takes advantage of enemies with debuffs.

Her most powerful move is her Ulitmate which is the bulk of her damage potential. In the game right now, HSR Acheron is among the top three most powerful damage dealers in the game alongside Jingliu and Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae.

If you’re missing a Lighting DPS or a reliable Lighting unit, HSR Acheron is one of the best in the game. This is especially true if you’ve missed out on Kafka or Jing Yuan.

First Half of Honkai Star Rail Ver 2.1 – Luocha (Rerun)

Alongside HSR Acheron, Luocha is getting a re-run in the first half of the Ver. 2.1 update. Luocha is well regarded as one of the most useful sustain units in the game with plenty of opportunities for heals using her skill, a passive, as well as enemy buff removal.

Luocha is an Imaginary Abundance character and while there have been other units that can match his potential, Luocha is still a dependable healer if you need it. If you’re lacking in sustain/support characters, you should try pulling for Luocha or saving up for the next Honkai Star Rail character, Aventurine.

Second Half of Honkai Star Rail Ver 2.1 – Aventurine

Aventurine is the next new character added to the roster and is an Imaginary Preservation unit focusing on keeping your units alive while buffing the team.

So far, we don’t know too much about Aventurine’s kit officially, so it is subject to change. But based on leaks and early previews, Aventurine’s Skill can provide all allies with a stackable shield, and his Ultimate increases Crit Damage to a targeted enemy.

For now, we’re not too sure of all his abilities but from the preview in the game’s story, Aventurine is looking to be one of the top sustain units in the game for the foreseeable future.

If you’re lacking a reliable sustain unit, try pulling for Aventurine.

Second Half of Honkai Star Rail Ver 2.1 – Jingliu (Rerun)

In the second half of the Ver 2.1 update, the ice Queen Jingliu is making a return for players who missed out on her initial release. Honkai Star Rail Jingliu has been one of the most consistent damage dealers in the game and it looks like she’s still here to stay.

Jingliu is a powerful Ice Destruction unit that focuses on dealing damage by stacking ‘Syzygy’ which she obtains from using her Skill and Ultimate. Once you reach 2 stacks of Syzgyg, she will reach a ‘Spectral Transmigration’ state.

While in this state, she immediately has her action advanced and an increased Crit Rate. Using her skill in the Spectral Trasmigration state doesn’t consume skill points and enhances from a single target to a blast damage attack.

Overall, Jingliu is still an incredibly impressive damage dealer that ranks in the top three in the entire game. This is a great unit if you’re missing out on a dependable damage dealer or don’t have a reliable Ice-type unit.

New 4-Star Honkai Star Rail Character – Gallagher

The last known new Honkai Star Rail character in the Ver. 2.1 is Gallagher, The Bloodhound Family’s officer who’s possibly the most ‘attractive’ male character in the game so far. The gruff, bearded enforcer is actually a Fire-type Abundance character.

Honkai Star Rail Gallagher’s Skill is a single-target heal and his Ultimate is an AoE attack that applies the ‘Besotted’ debuff on enemies. Any units attacking an enemy with Besotted will receive a heal as well as increased Break Damage.

Honkai Gallagher’s full potential isn’t realized just yet, but he’s a good partner for HSR Acheron since he can apply debuffs to enemies, speeding up Acheron’s Ultimate regen. Otherwise, he’s an okay unit to have so if you’re after HSR Acheron or Luocha this time around, he’s a great consolation prize.

And those are all the most important things you need to know about the latest Honkai: Star Rail Ver. 2.1. But if you’ve been unlucky with your pulls, check out U7BUY to get a Star Rail account for sale with any HSR characters that you’re searching for!
