Preventative Health Education Event in Harlem

Emblemhealth3Advocate Community Providers (ACP) in conjunction with A. Philip Randolph Campus High School will host a health education seminar to teach students about safer sex and disease prevention. Local physician Dr. Mitchell F. Harrison will lead the seminar on Hepatitis B/C, HPV vaccination and teen pregnancy prevention.

This event will kick off a citywide series, concentrating on preventative health care to raise awareness of conditions that disproportionally plague the city’s lower-income, minority neighborhoods such as teen pregnancy, ill effects of smoking, type two diabetes, obesity, asthma and sicknesses stemming from poor nutrition.
