
NYC Health + Hospitals proudly announces that 10 of its hospitals from Harlem to Hollis have been acknowledged for delivering exceptional care.
These 10 hospitals were selected in the annual “Best Hospitals” ranking by U.S. News and World Report.
Notably, NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst secured its place as one of New York’s top hospitals, ranking 26th in the New York Metro Area and 28th in the state.
These hospitals received commendations for their excellence in treating heart failure, diabetes, kidney failure, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), stroke, hip fracture, and pneumonia.
The evaluation process included factors such as patient length of stay, readmission or post-discharge mortality within 30 days, nurse staffing levels, patient satisfaction scores, and data transparency.
