Man Shot In Harlem Taken To Hospital In Critical Condition

A man shot Tuesday night in Central Park in Harlem has been transported to the hospital in critical condition, an NYPD spokesman said.

The man — who has not been identified — suffered a gunshot wound to the chest around 8 p.m. near the ice rink on 106th Street, an NYPD spokesman said. The gunshot wound could have been self-inflicted, NYPD Chief of Detectives Roberty Boyce told reporters Tuesday.

The wounded man was transported to St. Luke’s hospital in critical but stable condition, an NYPD spokesman said.
