There are a number of Burger Kings in Harlem, so if you love juicy, tender burgers, sandwiches and hotdogs, but you worry about your health, you may want to follow these tips for eating fast food. You probably won’t know about healthy options available at Burger King because everything is not listed on the menu. Yes, they are less salad and less healthy options available. But there are also some healthy items, filled with protein and are veggie. Burger King also offers a low calorie, gluten-free, low carb and low sugar options. Here is a list of what you and your kids should be eating at Burger King.

For Vegans

We recommend Apple Sauce, Green Side Salad with no croutons or cheese, Golden Italian Dressing and French fries. These are the only options available for vegans at Burger King. There is a veggie burger available too, but since the patty is covered in milk and egg, it is not vegan. Although you can eat a veggie burger without the patty, there will be no protein in the burger, you will soon need another. Eat a green side salad with value fries to fulfill your cravings.

For Kids

And if you are eating with a group you can go for a breakfast platter, it contains sausages, scrambled eggs, hash browns, pancakes, and a biscuit. But the platter is high in sodium.

For Gym Lovers

If you jog, or go dancing or spin classes, or do the gym regularly. The flame-grilled chicken burger is a perfect combination of protein and carbs. To bring down the sodium count you can skip mayonnaise and pickles, or replace its mustard sauce. Flavored low-fat milk is also available. But eating unhealthy food once in a while is not a bad option either. It will satisfy your cravings and you can always make it up in the gym for one bad meal.
