The MTA is in crisis, but Kemba Walker — the former high-school star at Rice HS in Harlem who has gone on to play for the Charlotte Hornets — probably isn’t worried.
“The last time I took the train was my freshman year of college,” Walker told Page Six at the first NBA Awards.
“No more trains for me, though — I am not about that MetroCard life anymore.”
He said of living in Charlotte, “I do not miss riding the trains at all. I do miss the pizza. Ain’t nothing like New York pizza!”
And of his social life: “I got the same friends I had before — no new.”
