sunny_Notification issued 12/13/13 at 6:00 PM. The New York City Office of Emergency Management (OEM) today issued a Hazardous Travel Advisory for Saturday, 12/14. The National Weather Service has forecast 4 to 6 inches of snow accumulation, expected to begin midday Saturday and change to rain in the late evening as the temperature rises. Rain will taper off overnight Saturday into Sunday, with a lingering shower possible Sunday morning, and freezing temperatures returning Sunday night. The Department of Sanitation has also issued a Snow Alert for Saturday at 8 AM. The plow tracker will be available tomorrow at http://www.nyc.gov/severeweather. The New York City Department of Transportation, in conjunction with the Department of Sanitation, has suspended Alternate Side Parking Regulations citywide tomorrow, to facilitate snow removal. Payment at parking meters will remain in effect. OEM encourages New Yorkers to take the precautions if traveling. For more information see the attached notice.

Update 12/13/13 at 1:00 AM: Emergency personnel are on the scene of a three alarm fire near West 145th St and Adam Clayton Powell Blvd in Manhattan. Expect smoke and traffic delays in the area.
