Uptown Elected Ydanis Rodriguez To Discuss Future Of Citi Bike From Harlem To Hollis


Councilmember-Ydanis-Rodriguez1 Uptown Council Transportation Chair Ydanis Rodriguez will host a committee hearing tomorrow, November 28th at 11 AM in the City Council chambers of City Hall, looking at what comes next for Citi Bike, following the completion of its planned expansion in 2017.

Council Member Rodriguez will make the case for a city-wide Citi Bike, fully incorporating the transportation system in neighborhoods throughout the five boroughs using public financing for future phases.

Expected to testify are DOT Commissioner Polly Trottenberg, representatives from Motivate, operators of Citi Bike, the offices of Borough Presidents Ruben Diaz of the Bronx and James Oddo of System Island, transportation advocates, small business representatives and advocates, health care professionals and community based organizations.
