This Is How We Do It, Harlem’s Melba’s, Dapper Dan And Bevy Smith To Feed Government Employees

January 19, 2019

On Tuesday, January 22nd, 2019, Melba Wilson will offer a free sit-down meal to employees of the federal government currently affected by the shutdown. “Witnessing the personal and economic affects of this government shutdown across the country is devastating,” says Melba Wilson. “We want to provide a few minutes of comfort for these government employees, some of whom have not received a paycheck in weeks,” she continues.

Melba has called on other notable Harlem residents and close friends including fashion icon Dapper Dan and TV Personality Bevy Smith to assist in this special event. All three will greet guests and offer a complimentary buffet style lunch from 11am-3pm this coming Tuesday.

The buffet will feature Southern Fried Catfish, BBQ Chicken, Peas & Rice, Sauteed String Beans, Mesculn Salad, and Buttery Cornbread. A vegan option will also be provided.

Federal employees of the government will need to show their government ID in order to receive the free meal.
