The Harlem Business Alliance: 2021 New Voices + Barefoot #WeStanForHer Grants

February 13, 2021

With “We Stan For Her” 2021, Barefoot Wine is excited to grow its ongoing commitment to supporting entrepreneurship among Black women in partnership with New Voices Foundation. The #WeStanForHer platform was created in 2020 to shine a light on the beauty of Black women’s entrepreneurial spirit, through original content, conversations, and community partnership.

This year, Barefoot has expanded the scope of our partnership by investing in Black women-owned businesses across all industries (exclusions apply) via the 2021 New Voices + Barefoot #WeStanforHer Grants program, which will provide grants of $10,000 each to five entrepreneurs to support and celebrate their unique journeys as Black women-owned businesses. The grants program also includes complimentary business coaching and mentoring from New Voices Foundation for each grantee company.

Businesses must meet the following criteria to qualify for the competition:

  • Incorporated business for at least three months
  • Majority ownership by a Black woman
  • Business in any category excluding businesses that hold a retail or wholesale liquor license,  or sell children’s, maternity, medical, health, and/or mental or physical wellness products
  • Minimum of one (1) employee
  • Business owner must be at least 25 years old
  • Evidence of customer traction and market validation

If you would like to apply for the 2021 New Voices + Barefoot #WeStanforHer Grants program, please fill out the application and sign the release to complete your application entry. (Application Deadline is February 28, 2021, 11:59 pm EST.)
