The 1st Black Independence Awards Ceremony By The Harlem Festival Of Culture And Uber At Harlem Parish

On Saturday, June 18th, 2022, at the Harlem Parrish, The Harlem Festival of Culture (HCF) and Uber held their 1st Black Independence Awards Ceremony 2022.

Doug E Fresh was MC for the fantastic event as the various Honorees received their awards.

Harlem’s Doug E Fresh was also one of the Honorees, as was Melba Wilson of Melba’s restaurant, Harlem Haberdashery, Dapper Dan, Seito, Michael Bivins, Estelle and Ro James, TV personality, author, and actress Bevy Smith, and other Honorees.

Including Manhattan Boro President Mark Levine also attended the event.

With the evening entertainment was the sultry R&B group “Brownstone”.
