The City Announce Open Storefronts Program Extension Through September 30, 2021!

The Open Storefronts Program program was piloted in November and December, and built upon the success of the Open Restaurants program.

This program allows storefront businesses to use a portion of the sidewalk to conduct business, including:
  • Displaying merchandise
  • Completing transactions
  • Providing areas for customers to line up
Businesses may also use the curbside lane to conduct business activities during the hours that Open Streets: Restaurants is in effect.
This program is available to all ground-floor storefront businesses after the completion of a short online form acknowledging their understanding of the program’s criteria and restrictions.
If you have a storefront business and you are not yet participating in Open Storefronts, visit nyc.gov/openstorefronts to see the full details and sign up for the program.
