Police are searching for a man wanted in an attempted rape in East Harlem, and they’re hoping surveillance video will lead to an arrest.The video was taken from a surveillance camera early Sunday morning around the time a 34-year-old woman was attacked.
The incident happened around 3:30 a.m. inside a residential building.
Authorities say the man shoved her to the ground and tried to rape her, but then ran off when she screamed.
The woman is expected to be okay.
Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call Crime stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
