On Thursday, August 20, 2015, 11 A.M. at the African Burial Ground National Monument, and ESPER, in collaboration with the National Park Service and the United States Postal Service, is hosting a Special Dedication of the Maya Angelou Forever Stamp and you’re invited.
The celebration will conclude with the sale of stamps, autographing of the celebration program and Ranger-led tours of the African Burial Ground.
The celebration is Free and open to the public; seating is limited.
Visitors entering African Burial Ground National Monument at 290 Broadway are subject to airport-style security which may include the removal of shoes and presenting of photo identification.
