Seitu’s World: Yum, Yum, Yum, The New York City Produces Show With Chefs Of Color

December 23, 2021

From December 13th-16th, 2021, Seitu Oronde was at The New York City Produces Show with diverse Chefs at Jacob Javits Center, NY.

2021 New York City produce show at the Jacob Javits Convention Center and the Hilton Hotel was very unique because there was special emphasis on the Mexicans and the Peruvians, marketing products & services to give Americans healthier alternatives.

There were cooking demonstrations highlighting student chefs and also celebrity private chef Johnson who prepares plant-based dishes using mushrooms. He can prepare alfredo fettuccine, BBQ & other types of dishes based on mushrooms.

Despite living in a time of covid-19 with a stronger variant coming to America, I saw great solutions demonstrated to build one’s immunity cost-effectively.

We were very impressed with the strategies and Outreach that the Growers and chefs have for the African-American and Hispanic communities.
