Seitu’s World: NY1’s Dean Meminger And Panel Talk The Patterson At The Schomburg In Harlem

On Tuesday, May 17, 2022, ImageNation founder, Moikgantsi Kgama at the Harlem Film Company’s theatrical red carpet premiere of The Patterson: Another Bronx Tale.

The event was held at the historic Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture in Harlem.

The documentary film explored the history of the Patterson, an NYCHA Housing project, as told by the people who lived there for seven decades. The Patterson also highlights the anti-gun violence reform efforts led by the residents.

This insightful film features Hall of Fame NBA star Tiny Archibald, one of the 50 best players in the NBA, and other notables.

The people of the Patterson projects talked about how it was in the past and how it is in the present and how the Patterson projects produce winners in sports and entertainment and science and in business and blower the photographs of the people of the past and the present and their comments on what it was like to grow up in that environment

A portion of proceeds from the red carpet affair benefited Guns Down, Life Up, The Knowledge House and a scholarship for youth in The Patterson housing complex.
