Thursday Oct 4th was the opening reception for painter Lisa Zwerling’s The Magic Flute exhibit at the FIRST STREET GALLERY in Chelsea. Lisa’s exhibit is a visual interpretation of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s operatic fantasy The Magic Flute. There are 38 paintings on display which walks you through Mozart’s piece from start to finish. The exhibit is open to the public for free until October 27th, 11AM to 6PM Tuesday through Saturday.
On October 24th these two art forms can be experience together as The Opera Company of Brooklyn will perform The Magic Flute in concert form. For tickets to this special performance log on to http://operabrooklyn.org/
