On Wednesday, June 14th, 2017, the National Black Theater (NBT) “celebrated Black Excellence at the ninth annual Teer Spirit Awards Gala”.

The red carpet was active as NBT, CEO Sade Lythcott greeted guests arriving for the evening’s awards presentation. Barbara Askins of the 125th Street DID received the Teer Pioneer award Malik Yorba and Gary Dourdan were among the may guests to attend the event.
