NYC Councilmembers Ydanis Rodriguez and Robert Jackson officiated the street renaming ceremony at 179th Street and Fort Washington Avenue in Fort Washington.
The street renaming ceremony was for slain Monsenor San Romero de America, who was killed in El Salvadore. His killing underscored the violence during that time in the war torn country.
