Rihanna And A$AP Rocky Embody Classic Hollywood Vibes In Latest Short Film For Fenty (Video)

February 28, 2024

Married couple Rihanna and Harlem’s A$AP Rocky transport us to a bygone era in their latest advertisement for their newest Fenty collaboration.

On Wednesday, February 28, 2024, the dynamic duo unveiled their fresh short film with a not-so-glamourous title, “Born to Steal: Yours, Mine, Ours,” on Fenty Beauty’s YouTube channel (save time and click on it below).

Set in the captivating ambiance of classic Hollywood noir, the narrative unfolds with a sultry voiceover detailing the escapades of a sophisticated femme fatale portrayed by Rihanna, as she cunningly pilfers attire and other items from her partner, played by Rocky.

Despite her playful antics of swiping blankets and snacks from him, Rocky stands firm in protecting his Lux Balm Ultra-Hydrating Cherry Lip Balm.

This vintage-inspired advertisement follows the recent launch of their new lip balm, infused with the enticing flavor of Barbados Cherry, promising to rejuvenate dry lips with instant moisture.

The collaboration has been in the spotlight since Rocky teased it in his single “Riot (Rowdy Pipe’n)” last summer, where he lyrically references their joint venture.

Following the unveiling of the short film, some fans expressed disappointment over the absence of new music accompanying the visuals. Rihanna made a notable return in 2022 with her singles “Lift Me Up,” and “Born Again,” featured on the soundtrack for Black Panther 2: Wakanda Forever. Since then, eager fans have eagerly anticipated hints about her forthcoming album, following up on her 2016 release, ANTI.

“I want it to be this year,” Rihanna shared with Vogue last year. “Like, honestly, it’d be ridiculous if it’s not this year. But I just want to have fun. I just want to make music and make videos.”

As of yet, Rihanna has not confirmed a release date for her next album.
