Right in time for Black History Month, two of Prada’s stores was recast in the image of the Harlem Renaissance at the brand’s Via Montenapoleone men’s and women’s boutiques in Milan, Italy.

This time around, Prada has tapped Edward Enninful (above), W Magazine’s Style & Fashion Director, to “share his vision” in outfitting the store with a 1920s cool that features a Harlem Renaissance motif.

Enninful told Style.com that, ‘Miuccia Prada’s work always begins with a conversation. Drawing from this notion, I looked to the ‘Harlem Renaissance’ for the SS14 installment of The Iconoclasts series. As the ‘Harlem Renaissance’ was a period of original thought – when creative minds inspired and embraced a new cultural identity – I felt that this was an appropriate narrative to incorporate into this season’s Prada collection.”

The men’s store will have games tables to to recreate the speakeasies and games (i.e. poker) that were prevalent during the 20s, and a blues trio. Meanwhile, the women’s shop will have mannequins draped in Spring 2014 Prada posing as if they were at an upscale Jazz club.

The stores’ new decor was unveiled the night of Prada’s Fall 2014 show and remained on view until February 24th in Milan.
