Police are investigating an alleged rape in Central Park around Morningside Heights, law enforcement sources said.
The female victim told investigators that she was walking through the park early Sunday morning near 100th Street and Fifth Avenue when a man approached, pulled her off the path and raped her in a wooded area in the northeast corner of the park, sources said.
No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
