NBPA Foundation Provides Slam Dunk In Over $1.5M In Matching Player Grants In 2021

The National Basketball Players Association (NBPA) Foundation today announced over $1.5 million in matching player grants during the 2021 calendar year.

Through the NBPA Foundation’s matching grants program, current and former players have an opportunity to partner with the NBPA Foundation to receive a matching grant designed to amplify their charitable giving and philanthropic efforts in their communities.

During the past year, the NBPA Foundation partnered with 90 current and former players and distributed matching grants to 92 new organizations and initiatives, encompassing a wide range of areas including, but not limited to:

  • Global and Domestic Natural Disaster Relief Efforts
  • Youth Sports Programming
  • High School and College Academic Scholarships
  • Basketball Court Refurbishment Projects
  • Financial Assistance for Local Black-Owned Businesses
  • Hunger and Food Security
