National Volunteer Week, New York Cares Offers Volunteer Opportunities For You!

April 18, 2023

During National Volunteer Week, April 16-22, 2023, New York Cares, the largest volunteer network from Harlem to Hollis, will offer over 130 volunteer opportunities.

Which will engage over one thousand volunteers to serve thousands of individuals in need across all five boroughs.

This week — and all year round — New York Cares encourages New Yorkers to dedicate time to volunteer projects that address the city’s greatest needs in order to create meaningful change in local communities.

Projects include packaging and distributing meals to those experiencing food insecurity, revitalizing parks and gardens, opportunities to support seniors, and much more.

New York Cares volunteers will get their hands dirty and help to clean up NYC through this environmental sustainability project.

Volunteers will plant flowers, build wooden garden beds, and mulch, paint park benches, and fences and remove invasive species.

Find out where volunteer opportunities will take place from April 16-22, 2023, from Harlem to Hollis at www.newyorkcares.org
