HW Pick: My Dream Speaks Gala Honors Black Enterprise BRIDGE Foundation & NAXOS

On Wednesday, the Global Language Project(GLP) celebrated its 4th Annual My Dream Speaks Benefit at the Cultural Services of the French Embassy in the Payne Whitney Mansion in New York City.

Over 200 key influencers from the philanthropic, entertainment, art and business industries gathered to honor the 2016 GLP Global Icon Awardees NAXOS of America, Inc. — the world’s largest classical music label and producer of GLP’s music CD’s for children –and Ms. Roberta Graves, President of the Black Enterprise BRIDGE Foundation. These individuals were honored for their genuine and selfless service towards uplifting children’s education, language, learning and diversity.

Notable attendees included Fátima Ptacek (Voice of Dora The Explorer), Marc Baptiste (Celebrated Photographer), Desiree Reid (President of Iman Cosmetics), Bénédict de Montlaur (Cultural Counselor French Embassy), and Fabrice Jaumont (Education Attaché French Embassy).

Guests were entertained by a lively performance by the dynamic Global Language Project’s Youth Choir and Award Winning Recording Artist Cyrille Aimee.

The My Dream Speaks Gala is an annual fundraiser designed to provide access for socially disadvantaged public school students to succeed in a globalized world through foreign language education. This year’s event helped raise over $125,000  to provide world language programs to disadvantaged elementary students in New York City
