MPAC, NYC Faith And Community Leaders Host Economic Justice Day


On Saturday, December 9th, 2017, faith and community leaders from across New York City will hold Economic Justice Day, an all-day conference sponsored by Airbnb. Speakers from the National Action Network, the Harlem Business Alliance and the New York Urban League will lead seminars that encourage entrepreneurship, and Airbnb will share information on how home sharing can benefit families and communities alike.

Participants will include members of congregations in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, and The Bronx:

  • Danny Glover, Actor, Activist, Airbnb Advisor

  • Rev. Dr. Johnnie M. Green, Jr., Mount Neboh Baptist Church, Harlem

  • Rev. Patrick Young, First Baptist Church, East Elmhurst, Queens

  • Minister Kirsten John Foy, Northeast Regional Director of National Action Network, Airbnb Advisor

  • Arva Rice, President and CEO of the New York Urban League

  • Adrianne C. Smith, Harlem Business Alliance Board of Directors – Secretary

  • Harlem Small Business Owners
