A man was critically injured during a blaze in a five-story building in Harlem early Thursday, witnesses and officials said.
The fire started in a law firm office on the first floor of the building on Broadway near W. 148th St. just after 12:30 a.m., according to officials. Smoke-eaters were able to put out the fire at 1:27 a.m., but not before one person was injured.
“He (the victim) wasn’t moving. They revived him,” said a witness, who didn’t give his name. “God was on that guy’s side.”
The victim was taken to Harlem Hospital, where he’s in critical condition, authorities said. Another person was injured, but refused medical attention
