iPic’s Lower Manhattan debut coincides with continuing progress toward the grand opening of the Seaport District. The Howard Hughes Corporation is striving to create a unique destination for New Yorkers and visitors alike. The overall development plan encompasses a total of seven buildings on several city blocks, including Pier 17® and the Fulton Market Building. The Fulton Market Building, which will house IPic, now contains the only Smorgasburg outpost in Manhattan. An array of notable restaurateurs plan to open eateries in the Seaport District, including acclaimed chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten, chef David Chang of Momofuku Group and by CHLOE. Milan-based concept store 10 CORSO COMO has also selected the Seaport for its first location in North America. Other future tenants include McNally Jackson Books and Amsterdam Couture retailer Scotch & Soda.
