Liberian Community To Hold Service At St. Philip’s Church In Harlem


StPhilips church in harlemTo mark their country’s 168th Independence Anniversary, the Liberian Community Association of New York City will hold an Intercessory Church Service on Sunday, July 19th at 9:30am at St. Philip’s Episcopal Church located at 204 West 134th Street in Harlem, New York.

The service will also serve as a thanksgiving to the All Mighty and to memorialize the victims of the Ebola disease which plagued the nation for much of 2014 and part of 2015, leaving nearly 5,000 Liberians dead. All Liberians and friends of Liberia are invited

The service will be officiated by the Rev. Theodora Brooks-Rector., Rev. Brooks-Rector, a Liberian, graduated from the Cuttington-University College in Liberia and serves as pastor of St. Margaret Episcopal Church in the Bronx under the Episcopal Diocese of New York.
