Lawdy, Coming Snow, Sleet, And Freezing Rain Travel Advisory For Harlem

NYC Emergency Management has issued a travel advisory for Tuesday, February 11, 2019, in anticipation of periods of snow, sleet, and freezing rain from Harlem to Hollis.

The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a Winter Weather Advisory in effect for NYC from 5 AM on 2/12 to 12 AM on February 13, 2019. Periods of snow, sleet and freezing rain could affect the New York City area during Tuesday’s morning and evening commute. A total of 2 to 4 inches of snow accumulation is forecast with locally higher amounts possible. A total of an inch to an inch and a half of rain and a glaze of ice are also possible.

New Yorkers from Harlem to Hollis are advised to take mass transit where possible and exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking, and allow for additional travel time as roads may be slippery.
