Author Tonya Bolden will be at Sister’s Uptown Bookstore and Cultural Center in Harlem, NY, on Tuesday, March 3, 2020, at 6 pm to celebrate her upcoming book Changing The Equation: 50+ US Black Women In STEM.

Tonya is an award-winning author and has written numerous bestselling books for children and adults. Her work has garnered many awards, including the Coretta Scott King Honor, James Madison Book Award, and School Library Journal Best Book of the Year. She lives in New York City.

Changing The Equation is a celebratory and inspiring look at some of the most important black women in STEM. The book has earned a starred review from School Library Journal stating: “Bolden, a master of the collective biography, presents an impeccably-researched call to action, imploring black girls to fight the racial and gender imbalance that plagues the STEM field.”
