On Tuesday, April 18th, 9 AM to 1 PM , you are invited to join the first Happy Munkey, Choose Happy Symposium event, at the Columbia Forum in partnership with Community Board 9.
For the first time, Community Board 9 is partnering up with a legacy group to host an event at an Ivy League institution located in the heart of Harlem, Columbia University, to provide attendees of the cannabis community with knowledge to make informed decisions about using cannabis and explore the impact of cannabis on the Harlem community by addressing topics such as social equity, diversity and inclusion in the market, and the economic impact the cannabis industry has on the community.
The event will welcome residents of the uptown community, cannabis industry professionals and advocates as well as elected officials and regulators such as Dasheeda Dawson, Councilmember Shaun Abreu, and Manhattan Borough President Mark Levine.
The symposium will also feature community-based activations such as a tenant housing lawyer, expungement clinics, and medical card registration.
Happy Munkey, one of NY’s long-time leading Latino cannabis lifestyle brands, has focused on bringing together communities from diverse backgrounds and shifting the paradigm of cannabis culture through unique and innovative experiential activations.
The founders of Happy Munkey, Vladimir Bautista and Ramon Reyes, who are currently CAURD applicants, are proud to be leading the way of transitioning from legacy to legal in New York State.
