Join John Osborn, President & CEO, BBDO NY & President of the Board for the Police Athletic League, JD Michaels, SVP, Director of Tactile Production and Creative Engineering, and BBDO NY and Bill Rosemann, Creative Director, Marvel Custom Solutions for this interactive session, where Police Athletic League kids will learn about diversity first hand, with the help of the world famous Armored Avenger Iron Man—live and in person.
Timed to coincide with Marvel’s 75th anniversary, Heroes Welcome, starring The Avengers and the young hero named Nova, tells the story of what can happen when people of different backgrounds, talents and abilities come together and champion one another. The comic book, written by Eisner Award-winner Brian Michael Bendis and illustrated by fan favorite artist Mark Brooks, was created by Marvel Custom Solutions with ad agency BBDO NY and their Diversity Council.
This event is the first in an initiative to distribute the comic book to children throughout all five boroughs of NYC.
Thursday, May 22nd, 11 AM- 1 PM
Police Athletic League Harlem Center, 441 Manhattan Avenue at corner of 119th street, New York, NY 10026.
