Hey Harlem, Where Would You Cut The City Budget?

In an e-mail from Borough President Gale Brewer, she writes: Mayor de Blasio released his preliminary Fiscal Year 2020 budget last week, which revealed a nearly $1 billion shortfall in tax revenue. So the city faces difficult choices about what to preserve and what to cut, but I want to hear about your budget priorities.

Each year, my office conducts an analysis of the Mayor’s budget and solicits input from Manhattanites. We will hold a public hearing on the proposal at next week’s Borough Board meeting, 8:30 am on February 21, (2019) in my office at the Municipal Building, 1 Centre St., 19th Floor South.

But not everyone can attend our hearing, so we are again distributing a questionnaire about budget priorities.

Please take the time to click through and help us stand up for Manhattan! Complete this survey by 5:00 pm, Friday, March 8, 2019.
