For advance monthly payments of the Child Tax Credit of up to $300 per month, per child, beginning July 15th, 2021, through December.
Child Tax Credit Monthly Payments will help set America’s children up for success and put more money in the pockets of hardworking parents, to pay for child care or put gas in the car so they can go to work and help fuel our economy while building better lives for their families.
Nearly all hardworking families – roughly 46,000 households, covering more than 90 percent of children in New York’s 13th Congressional District – should begin seeing their monthly payments automatically after July 15th, 2021, with no further action required.

Representative Espaillat is the first Dominican American to serve in the U.S. House of Representatives and his congressional district includes Harlem, East Harlem, West Harlem, Hamilton Heights, Washington Heights, Inwood, Marble Hill and the northwest Bronx.
First elected to Congress in 2016, Representative Espaillat is serving his third term in Congress.
Representative Espaillat currently serves as a member of the influential U.S. House Committee on Appropriations responsible for funding the federal government’s vital activities.
He is also a member of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus (CHC), where he serves as the Second Vice-Chair and is a member of the Congressional Progressive Caucus, where he serves as Deputy Whip.
Representative Espaillat also currently serves as a Senior Whip of the Democratic Caucus.
