Participatory Budgeting is a grassroots process through which community residents vote to directly allocate money toward proposals developed by the community to meet local needs. It helps make budget decisions clear and accessible, and gives power to people who have never before been involved in the political process.

Participatory budgeting results in better budget decisions—because who better knows the needs of our community than the people who live there?
