In his acceptance speech at the Apollo Theater in Harlem, he reflected on how Virgil Abloh’s early recognition of his style validated him.
Rocky acknowledged Virgil’s impact on his career, from collaborating on his debut album to pioneering his fashion journey.
He paid tribute to Virgil’s fearlessness and shared inspirational words for Harlem. Despite the honor, Rocky had to cut his speech short for a pressing matter.
Virgil Abloh’s legacy continues to influence and inspire, even after his passing in November 2021 reports TMZ.
