Harlem Rep. Espaillat Protect Commercial Renters In NY State During COVID-19 Outbreak

Representative Adriano Espaillat led members of the New York City congressional delegation to send a letter to New York Governor Andrew Cuomo.

New York State Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins, and New York State Assembly Speaker Carl E. Heastie to urge the New York State Legislature to enact a ninety (90) day moratorium prohibiting landlords from evicting commercial renters such as a restaurant, bar, bodega, and other enterprises unable to make a full and on-time rental payment due in adherence to executive orders in response to the novel coronavirus 2019 (“COVID-19”).
