Harlem’s Diddy wants to buy the Panthers and already knows what his first order of business would be. Cam Newton beware.
After Panthers owner Jerry Richardson, who is being investigated for alleged workplace misconduct, announced Sunday he would be selling the team, the rap mogul tweeted: “I would like to buy the @Panthers. Spread the word. Retweet!”
In a video on his Instagram account, Diddy said he would be the best NFL owner that you could imagine and would “immediately address the Colin Kaepernick situation and put him in the running for next year’s starting quarterback. It’s just competition baby.”
Diddy, who according to Forbes is worth $820 million, also tweeted he wants to make history by becoming the first majority African-American owner in the NFL.
It appeared other celebrities are interested in helping him out. Warriors star Steph Curry tweeted, “I want in!”
