Harlem Fave Fat Joe Returns As Host & Co-Executive Producer Of “BET Hip Hop Awards” 2023

Today, Fat Joe, the GRAMMY® Award-nominated multi-talent known for his music, acting, authorship, entrepreneurship, and media presence, was revealed as the returning host and Co-Executive Producer of the “BET Hip Hop Awards” for 2023.

The event will be recorded at the Cobb Energy Center in Atlanta, GA, on October 3 and will make its televised debut on October 10, 2023, at 9 PM ET/PT on BET.

This year’s edition continues the celebration of hip-hop‘s 50th anniversary, uniting a spectrum of music luminaries, from emerging artists to trailblazers who have left an indelible mark on the genre. The official nominations for the “BET Hip Hop Awards” 2023, meticulously chosen by a prestigious voting academy comprising respected figures from the music industry, performers, and presenters, were unveiled last week. Leading the nominations are 21 Savage and Cardi B, each with an impressive 12 nods. You can view the full list of official nominees for the “BET Hip Hop Awards” 2023 here. Connie Orlando, EVP, Specials, Music Programming & Music Strategy at BET, expressed excitement about Fat Joe’s return, stating, “We are thrilled to welcome back a true hip-hop legend in Fat Joe as this year’s host! Connie Orlando, EVP, Specials, Music Programming & Music Strategy, will supervise the annual show as the Executive Producer, alongside Jamal Noisette, VP, Specials & Music Programming for BET. Jesse Collins, CEO of Jesse Collins Entertainment, will serve as the Executive Producer of “BET Hip Hop Awards” 2023, along with Jesse Collins Entertainment’s Jeannae Rouzan–Clay and Dionne Harmon.
