On Friday, September 2, 2016, the JCRC-NY was honored when the NYC Council observed their 40th anniversary at City Hall with Harlem elected Council member Mark Levine and Speaker Melissa Mark-Viverito alongside several JCRC-NY Board Members.
Mark-Viverito and Levine, were joined by Charles S. Temel, then President-elect, and Michael S. Miller, Executive VP and CEO, as they accepted a special proclamation celebrating this milestone. Since its inception, the JCRC-NY has had a strong relationship with the NYC Council, its Speaker and Members.
