a number of affordable housing initiatives before working for the city.
Honorable Harlem New York City Council Woman, Inez Dickens spoke Sunday June 26th in New York City, at St. Philip’s Episcopal church awarding three scholarships in memory of Allen. Two high school students from New York Stacey Boulware and Emmanuela Fosu (first photo) as well as Aryana Colon (second photo) were given $500 unrestricted awards towards their freshman of college for Fall 2011. Dickens challenged the recipients to not only to achieve their academic goals but like Chuck Allen give tirelessly back to their communities.
“And when you have accomplished your goals we expect to see you back here involved and handing out checks to the next generation.” said Dickens.
