A wave of glamorous gowns and one-of-a-kind tuxedos will take over The Riverside Church at 490 Riverside Drive (at W. 120th Street) for the Harlem Haberdashery 2019 Masquerade Ball.

The Harlem Haberdashery 2019 Masquerade Ball will benefit The Boys & Girls Club of Harlem on Saturday, March 9, 2019, from 7:00 – 11:00 P.M.

The fashion family behind 5001 FLAVORS and Harlem Haberdashery will welcome diverse and multi-generational attendees from the New York City tri-state area to benefit The Boys & Girls Club of Harlem, the organization has proudly served the youth and community of Harlem for 38 years. The organization attuned to the specific needs of the Harlem community fills the gap between school and home by providing a positive, welcoming environment where kids and teens can have fun, participate in life-changing programs, and build supportive relationships with their peers and caring adults. The festive evening theme of Harlem Glamour inspired by the centennial of the Harlem Renaissance will include live performance by DJ Olivia Dope.

The 2019 Honorees are three dynamic individuals with strong community ties to Harlem:

  • Man of the Year: Jamel Wright, President, Harlem Jets
  • Women of the Year: Audrey Smaltz, Founder, The Ground Crew
  • Trailblazer of the Year: Terrrel Stowers, Founder, Marching Cobras

Former honorees include: Alison Desir, Michael J. Garner, Tamika Mallory, Margarette Purvis, Marcus Samuelsson, Bevy Smith, Khary Lazarre-White and other esteemed members of the Harlem/Upper Manhattan community.

The 2019 Masquerade Ball festivities would not be complete without amazing cocktails and appetizers from AstraLuna Brands, Fieldtrip Harlem, HH Bespoke Spirit, Harlem Chocolate Factory, Harlem Shake, Papi Wines, Row House, Rozi’s Sweet, Seasoned Vegan, and Yave Tequila. Guests will dine, dance and drink, as well as make memories at several interactive photo booth experiences.

The Masquerade Ball is the annual leading philanthropic event hosted by the award-winning, bespoke boutique Harlem Haberdashery to support Harlem/Upper Manhattan focused non-profit organizations. In the past six years, the Masquerade Ball has received press accolades from Avenue, New York Social Diary, The New York Times, TheRoot, and other media outlets.

The 2019 Masquerade Ball festivities are managed by Dash Events, Musa Jackson Productions, and Wilson Marshall PR + Events.
