Gale A. Brewer Statement On Defacement Of FDNY Ambulances Uptown

August 27, 2018

Manhattan Borough President Gale A. Brewer issued the following statement:

“Yesterday an individual marked multiple FDNY ambulances in northern Manhattan with swastikas and hateful language. His identity and his exact motives aren’t clear yet, but here’s what is crystal clear: the only thing we don’t have room for in this city is hate.

“The search is on for this suspect, as it will be for anyone who tries to intimidate New Yorkers with bigoted, hateful vandalism. I encourage anyone with information on this crime to contact the NYPD Hate Crime Task Force through the CrimeStoppers hotline, 1-800-577-TIPS.”
