The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for area from Harlem to Hollis on Monday, January 8th, 2018, until 7:00 PM. A brief period of freezing rain is expected to quickly transition to sleet and snow before ending late Monday evening. Cold ground temperatures may result in icy roads, especially on untreated surfaces.
New Yorkers are advised to exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking, and allow for additional travel time as roads may be slippery and visibility may be limited.
