The Dapper Dan and Puma collaboration has once again delivered a standout sneaker collection.
Dapper Dan, renowned for his unique fusion of luxury and streetwear from Harlem, has joined forces with Puma to release the Clyde Harlem Pack.
These highly anticipated sneakers made their debut on September 16, 2023, and are now available for sneaker enthusiasts. You can purchase these exclusive kicks through Puma’s official website or select retail partners, both online and in physical stores. The Clyde Harlem Pack sneakers are priced at $210 USD and come in men’s sizes.
This collaborative release features two distinct colorways. The first combines regal blue and burnt red, with the dominant color covering most of the shoe, complemented by precise stitching and leather lining in a contrasting shade. The second colorway showcases Puma Black with fiery burnt red accents.
Both sneakers come with laces matching their respective color palettes. The medial panel displays an overlay of Puma’s signature logo, while the lateral side features the logo embroidered in red thread, accompanied by bold “Harlem” lettering on a rubber strip at the lateral heel—a nod to Dapper Dan’s Harlem roots.
The blue variant boasts a white collar lining, while the black version features a matching black lining. A chenille panther adorns one tongue, paying tribute to Puma’s heritage, while the other shoe bears the “DDP” insignia. Each design is grounded by a tonal rubber midsole and outsole.
Designer Dapper Dan, known as the “king of knock-offs,” gained fame in the late 1980s for outfitting hip-hop artists and athletes in modified high-end clothing with a gangster-inspired flair. Collaborating with the likes of Bobby Brown, LL Cool J, and Salt-N-Pepa, Dapper Dan’s influence is felt across the fashion and music industries.
The Puma and Dapper Dan collaboration introduced its debut capsule collection at New York Fashion Week in September 2022, with two waves of releases. This collection celebrates the 40th anniversary of the iconic Clyde sneaker, solidifying the collaboration’s significance in the sneaker world.
