CityMD Opens New Urgent Care Center In The Heart Of Harlem

August 23, 2022

CityMD, the leading urgent care provider in the New York metropolitan area, today opened its 30th Manhattan urgent care center on 153 East 125th Street/Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard in Harlem.

Today’s opening marks the 157th CityMD location across New York and New Jersey.

Like its other urgent care centers, the new CityMD on Harlem’s “Main Street” offers this vibrant community critical, urgent health care services.

The new site also offers virtual care and provides an additional resource for COVID-19 testing and treatment services, offering residents Rapid, PCR, and Antibody testing, as well as evaluation, testing, and treatment for Monkeypox.

The 125th Street location is highly accessible by multiple transits stops and is open 365 days a year. The average visit time (in and out) is less than 30 minutes. Unlike other urgent care facilities, no appointment is necessary, and most insurance is accepted.

The clinic will support the medical needs of families in upper Manhattan with convenient weekday and weekend hours, as well as self-check-in kiosks.

The new location features on-site state-of-the-art technology, which includes X-ray and EKG machinery.

Patients of all ages visit CityMD for many reasons, including treatment for upper respiratory infections, colds and flu, asthma, allergies, minor lacerations, sore throats, insect bites and rashes, among other conditions.

On-site doctors can diagnose and treat pink eye, croup, minor orthopedic injuries, and nosebleeds. Rapid testing for flu, strep throat, mononucleosis, UTIs and other conditions are also among available services.

The new Harlem CityMD urgent care center provides coordinated care through the clinic’s unique, centralized Aftercare Department.

This expert team of doctors and clinical assistants helps patients coordinate their follow-up care, ranging from referrals to pre-approvals and other appointments.

After visits, patients can also send bill payments, view statements, update their information, and even submit questions through CityMD’s secure online portal.

Each CityMD location is staffed primarily by board-certified emergency medicine doctors. For the complete list of insurance options, click here.
