Issued the following statement on the historic inauguration of New York’s first female Governor Kathy Hochul:

“CitizensNYC has been working to improve New York City for more than 45 years, and we are excited to help create meaningful change through local engagement during this exciting new chapter in New York’s history.
“As she assumes office today amid the resurgent COVID-19 pandemic, CitizensNYC urges Governor Hochul to prioritize investment in resident-led community groups that are on the front lines of helping their neighbors during this trying time.”
